Welcome to my very first blog.
With those dark nights setting in we are taking out our thicker coats and placing our summer holiday clothes in storage. Grabbing those ankle or knee high boots and putting away those flip flop and sandals. Many of us will be going into hibernation and are recovering from a busy summer wedding season. However, you may have noticed, weddings take place all year around. It's not always about that outdoor summer marquee wedding, with yellow coloured petals scattered on your outdoor walkway. Or even baby pink chair sashes with a three tier white iced cake with pastel green and lilac flowers. As much as we love the above I wanted to share my ideas on having an Autumn wedding this year. Here goes.
Wedding cake table set up - White petaled table linen on a circular table. A three tier (or bigger budget dependant) with a chocolate straw outer and a raisin sponge. Bright orange and white Fondant flowers.
Yellow mood lighting around the venue, this could be subtly executed with a coloured light in each corner -as oppose to all around the room.
Wedding top table with subtle candles all along the table with brown branches intwined. Wedding thrones for both the bride and groom and an ivory flower wall backdrop with subtle orange lighting against it.
Table centre pieces should always be very tall or very short. It's never a good idea to have a centre pieces that obscures the view of your guests around the table.
A wooden set up with small floral vases made up of whites and peaches is beautiful. A mixture of baby breath, roses or geberas for a cheaper option. Placed in jars which can be found almost anywhere. Small tea lights for a warm feel, dimming the venue lights will help with this.
See pic for inspiration.
Champagne sequin table linen for your reserved tables is a lovely way of incorporating something different, it also helps the reserved tables stand out and makes those close family members feel special. If you have a bigger budget shimmer up every guest table. See pic.
Ivory runner walkway with our bespoke made floral and pearl pillars come in Ivory and peach. A splash of colour such as a pastel orange gerbera can be added using fresh flowers to incorporate an Autumn colour. See the picture from spring this year which was used for one of our brides who wanted a touch of hot pink.
Lastly limewash chavari chairs for all your guests. A beautiful peach bow which sits on the back of each chair would be a lovely touch to tie it all in together.
